Me, Sarah, and John were so excited to receive The Walking Dead Upper Prison Cell Construction Set as a gift! We love the show and this set definitely lived up to our expectations. The over 100 pieces included made it fun and challenging to put together. Plus, the sets stack and connect to create a complete cell block which is just so cool! Each 3-sided cell has functioning cell door, partial catwalk, and character-themed accessories which made it even more realistic. We couldn’t decide who got to be Carol with the pistol or the Prison Jumpsuit Walker, so we just took turns playing with both characters.
I have to say, I was a bit skeptical when Me told me about this product because I’m not a huge fan of building sets. I can’t believe I finally got my hands on the McFarlane Toys The Walking Dead TV Deluxe Box Set- Daryl Dixon with Chopper! This figure is seriously badass and I’m so impressed with the level of detail. I mean, they even got Norman Reedus’ likeness spot on. And can we talk about how cool his angel wings stitched biker vest looks? It’s like having a mini Daryl in my own home.
My friend, Jessica, saw it and was immediately jealous. She’s a huge fan of the show and couldn’t believe how realistic this figure is. I love that it comes with a hunting knife and crossbow too – it’s like Daryl is ready to take on any walker that comes his way. Plus, the chopper with skull decal and saddlebags just adds to the overall badassery.
But let me tell you, putting this figure together was not easy for me. Luckily, my boyfriend Steve was there to lend a helping hand (or two).
